Jamie Rye Allen

Jamie is a 5th year doctoral candidate in the School of Environment and Natural Resources within the Environmental Social Sciences specialization. She is interested in research focused on encouraging pro-environmental behavior in a variety of contexts, and her current dissertation research concerns the impact of labeling on perceptions of plant-based alternatives to dairy, eggs, and seafood. Jamie is also a trainee in the National Science Foundation EmPOWERment Research Traineeship (NRT) Program at OSU, which uses interdisciplinary collaboration to find sustainable energy solutions. In her spare time, Jamie can be found in a pottery studio, playing with her dog, playing various instruments, or doing anything involving animals.
